The Benasque Valley is a valley in the middle of the highest mountains of the Pyrenees. It is in Aragón (Spain) beside the French border. We propose you to ride in mountain paths, tracks to discover the Benasque Valley. The landscape is spectacular sometimes awesome and varied.

We ride over the Natural Park of Posets-Maladeta where the highest mountain of the Pyrenees is located, with the Aneto summit 3404 m. There are three massif declared Natural Monument of the Pyrenean Glaciers. Those glaciers have modeled this valley over 40 millions of years and now we can see and ride over their footprints.

We ride over different altitudinal levels that provide us with the opportunity to enjoy different landscapes: riverside vegetation, mixed forest, black pine forest, alpine meadows, the high mountains with the summits and their glaciers and perpetual snow, etc., habitat of different protected species like the capercaillie, the bearded vulture or the brown bear.

Points of special interest:
Massif of the Maladeta crowned by the Aneto (3.404 m.), Posets (3.371m.), Perdiguero (3.222 m.), Massif of the Turbón (2.492 m.), and several hight mountains and lakes. During the trip, we go through some interesting medieval villages such as Ansils, Cerler, Sahún and villages of the Solano which we can learn about their history, medieval architecture, and their singular way of life between the mountains of the Pyrenees before and after the modern life. Adventure and pure nature to enjoy riding.

Our horses always live in meadows in status of semi-freedom. They are used to walking over the mountains, hard tracks and cross rivers. Their stamina and surefootedness is checked. They like to work outside and they love people. They are Spanish (Andalucian) or Spanish crossed breds. Our horses are trained by the English school. They are ridden with English bridles and hackemore aswell.
